Well steering servos used to be an issue with my truggy especially when i started adding lots of weight to it like beadlockers,, molded foams, roll cage, metal this and that.Along with not wanting to run a loose servo saver so i could have crisp steering.I had tried all of the top metal gear servos, hitech titanium(lasted 3 bash sessions),Airtronics Rockcrusher(5 bash sessions).i was almost ready to give up and run a loose and sloppy steering just to save me the $130 dollars it took every time i ate up a servo. Then came along the hobbico cs170 servo(holy grail of servos). The specs are pretty good, at 4.8v transit speed is .19 sec and 250 oz-in at 6v its speed is .15 sec and 333 oz-in of torque.more than enough for any rc vehicle.i think the major strength of the servo comes from the top three titanium gears, after having many servos apart,i can attest that on this servo those gears are at least twice as thick as other brands.i have had this servo for a year with no failures and the price is right $89.99.the only draw back is that it is a little noisy when in use but doesnt glitch or cause interference you just know its working.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
